VCAABA was honored to have Judge Ken M. Kawaichi (Ret.) speak to its members on his role in the State Bar's Taks Force on Race and Ethnic Bias. The speech was held at a luncheon at the Topa Tower Club in Oxnard on June 23, 2005 (high atop the Morgan Stanley tower!)
Judge Kawaichi is a 28-year veteran of Alameda County's municipal and superior courts. He is the 2003 recipient of the Benjamin Aranda III Access to Justice Award, an Honor given by the State Bar to recognize a judge's efforts to improve access to our judicial system for low and moderate income persons. He currently serves on the State Bar's Task Force on Race and Ethinic Bias.
